Celebrity origin can add a lot of attraction – and value – to a classic car. Especially if that celebrity was nothing but Steve McQueen …

So much a car as an actor, McQueen has accumulated a collection of enviable cars and motorcycles. This classic Chevy Convertible was just one and now needs a new home.

The 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe Convertible did not belong only to the legendary king of cool-he appeared next to him (or around him) in which turned out to be the last film he ever did.

She bought her from the stage when the movie was shot, while her current owner, in turn, bought it from the late Las Vegas real estate auction in 1984, just a few years after it passed. The car was featured in Matt Stone's 2007 "McQueen's Machines: Cars and Bikes of a Hollywood Pictogram," in an episode of 19459004 and comes with a document signed by McQueen's children, Chad and Terry attests to his authenticity

It might not be a racing Porsche or a classic Ferrari – heck, his six-cylinder engine pulls 92 horsepower only through a three-speed manual transmission – but McQueen was as. and it could be yours if you place the winning bid at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale later this month
