Two of the hottest compact cars for sale today, the Mercedes-AMG A45 and the Audi RS3 Sedan, were taken to solve the differences.
The setting is South Africa's Rock Raceway circuit with a straight length of 300m (984ft) being more than enough to prove which of the two is the fastest.
Mercedes-AMG's warm A45 hatch is a bit stronger than its rival Audi. It has a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine delivering a torque of 381 hp and a torque of 475 Nm, with 4.2 seconds to 100 km / h (250 km / h) 155 mph.
On the other hand, the Audi RS3 Sedan uses a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, 400 hp (394 hp) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) torque. Speed up to 100 km / h (4.1 mph) lasts 4.1 seconds and maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h (155 mph).
Is there another aspect worth mentioning, and this is the weight advantage of the A45, but is it enough to compensate for the power deficit compared to RS3? Just click on the video below and find out.
