Jeep Renegade MY18, the off-road vehicle makes a leap into the future

Comes Jeep Renegade MY18the off-road vehicle is updated and is increasingly connected. The main updates concern the field of the infotainment. The system Uconnect improves the driving experience and life of passengers on board. It will be available with 5, 7 and 8.4 inch screens, as well as many navigation, entertainment and hands-free communication features. The first units will be available in the showrooms with the Jeep open doors of the weekend from 20 to 21 January

In particular, the Uconnect 7.0 “or 8.4” NAV systems use one screen full-color [19659003] high definition capacitive tactile. It significantly improves the user interface, also offering adjustable zoom with a movement of the fingers and the menu bar customizable with the function Drag and Drop. In addition, the functions include call and hands-free navigation and voice recognition of messages. The options integrated into the radio allow you to listen to web-radio streaming via Bluetooth and to insert your compatible devices into USB or AUX sockets.

Compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, the Uconnect system offers the exclusive application Jeep Skills. In real time, some specific off-road indices are provided for traction, roll, pitch, pressure and altitude.

Increased functionality

Since its launch Renegade has distinguished itself for its high functionality. Today this quality has been further accentuated with important innovations. Starting with the new central consolewhich now has a new space to store the smartphone, new cup holders and additional compartments such as the pocket for storing a Mini iPad or other small accessories. Also new is the position of the additional USB port (now in the rear part of the central armrest and more easily accessible also to rear seat passengers) offered standard starting from version Longitude. Various intelligent solutions have therefore enabled to increase the space of storage compartments by more than 1.2 liters. Finally, the increase in functionality has also involved the exterior as evidenced by the new visible position of the tailgate handle.

New customization options

The Renegade MY18 has also been renewed in terms of customization with new options that allow customers to choose the model closest to their needs. Among the novelties stand out both the new materials for seat upholstery and the new light color for saddlery Polar Plunge. For example the Ski Gray & Black leather combination with Ski Gray stitching on the Limited version. Last but not least, the stylistic update has also touched the finishes on the frames of radio, air vents, central tunnels and loudspeakers

The new set-up options add to the already extensive customization possibilities offered by five set-ups (Sport, Longitude, Business, Limited and Trailhawk) and well 11 different combinations of power units combined with two configurations, to traction anterior or integral

It starts from petrol engines 1.6 110-hp E-Torq with 5-speed manual transmission, 1.4 MultiAir2 Turbo 140 HPwith manual transmission or automatic dual clutch DDCT both 6-speed, and 1.4 170 hp MultiAir2 with automatic transmission to nine

The range includes the turbodiesel engines 1.6 MultiJet II with 95 hp with 6-speed manual transmission, 1.6 MultiJet II with 120 hp with manual transmission or automatic double transmission DDCT clutch both 6-speed, and M ultiJet II 2.0-liter 120-hp with 6-speed manual transmission, 140 hp (6-speed manual transmission or 9-speed automatic transmission) or 170 hp combined to the nine-speed automatic transmission.
