Renault Clio, the new generation arrives at the Paris Motor Show

Renault will introduce the fifth generation of Clio to the Paris Salon next September. The current small French is in circulation since 2012, the new version will be on the market at the beginning of 2019. The rumors of the past few months are confirmed. The new Clio will also have hybrid power and functions of autonomous driving.

On this latter front, the device will allow accelerations, braking and automatic steering. In its segment these are important news. However, these functions will always be coupled with human presence. The pilot will in fact be obliged to keep his hands on the steering wheel throughout the journey

In terms of engines, the electric unit from 48V will be coupled to a small-displacement petrol engine. Consumption will be favored and emissions will be low level. It seems to be excluded at the moment a version hybrid plug-in. And even the diesel could be close to the terminus, on the basis of what appears to be the common orientation in Europe

The new Clio will still be produced on the CMF-B platform to contain costs. However, there will still be the possibility of using new petrol engines. The three-cylinder 0.9 liter and the new 1.3 will be supplied. In terms of stylistic lines, it is said that little Renault could draw inspiration from the concept Symbioz and from Megane.
