For 2018, Volkswagen will propose some updates for the models Golf and Passat. New engines for the first and new equipment for the second. The new options for the Golf engines relate to the GT and Alltrack models
On the GT the new four-cylinder 1.5 TSI EVO BlueMotion 130-horsepower will be available. This engine will be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or an automatic 7-speed DSG, both in the three and five-door versions. New powertrain also for the Golf Variant Alltrack. For this model comes the four-cylinder turbo 1.8-liter petrol and 180 horsepower.
The Passat will instead have several new standard equipment. The optical groups at LED will now be available with any type of equipment, as well as the system App-Connect by Volkswagen for the Smartphone which includes Apple CarPlayAndroid Auto and MirrorLink. The R-Line will also have premium LED headlamps as standard.
The heated seats will be standard on the SE Business, R-Line and Alltrack models. The SE Business will also have the three-zone air conditioning and a multi-function color display integrated into the instrument panel. In the SE Business model, the value of new standard equipment is around 2,200 euros. The price increase of the car is instead of 620 euros. For the R-Line versions, price increased by 225 euros compared to 1,690 euros for new equipment.
